OUR STORY

Youth Outreach United Dance Team was founded by Safiyah Seck in 2018, during her sophomore year of high school. She was inspired by a friend of hers who held a 6-week dance camp at The Homeless Families Foundation for her senior capstone project. After assistant teaching a class, she realized that this project could be greatly expanded to reach many more children and make a lasting impact. Since then, she has grown this small project on a much larger scale, establishing YOU Dance Team Inc. as a non-profit organization recognized by the State of Ohio. This small idea has grown to include over 30 UAHS Students, 50+ children, and we plan on continuing to grow and use dance as a tool to better the lives of many.
